Principal's Welcome

Hello and welcome to St Joseph's Primary School, Bulahdelah, situated in the Myall Coast Parish of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. It is my pleasure as Principal to invite you to explore and learn more about our wonderful school.

St Joseph’s values a strong, supportive and involved Catholic school community. We seek to create an environment where all students, staff, parents and carers feel valued, included and engaged. We work to provide a school environment where all students feel safe and all members care and support each other.

We acknowledge our parents and carers as the first educators of their children and seek to work alongside you, to develop and educate the whole child socially, emotionally, academically, spiritually and physically. St Joseph’s has a strong tradition of academic, sporting and cultural success across all year levels. We feel it is essential that every student is given the opportunity to experience success and develop their potential.

Our teachers are professional educators committed to the development of the whole child. We have a learning environment that allows each student to be empowered and challenged as they communicate with truth, clarity and integrity, and learn about their ever-growing and changing world. We strive to provide a safe, harmonious and effective environment that is conducive to quality learning and teaching, and our classroom spaces are vibrant, organised and stimulating.

St Joseph's is a Catholic school committed to an education that is centered on Christ and the Gospel values. These are implicit in every aspect of school life and define our interactions with one another. Our school motto, ‘Loving, Learning and Living like Jesus’ reflects the important example of Christ, as we endeavour to reach out to those in need in our community and be ever mindful to be continually thankful for all that we have been given. We strive to meet all with peace and love.

It is a privilege to share with you this important time in your life and that of your child, as they begin or continue their primary education. I sincerely hope that you and your family will always feel welcome at St Joseph’s. I look forward to working with you as we strive to provide the students with the best possible educational experiences and outcomes. I invite you to visit us at St Joseph’s and we look forward to welcoming you to our school.
